What prompted you to write this book?
If the story would be continued where do you see Trudy and Jules in their relationship?
And to add to this question. Does Tammy and Fenton doing the jump prompt Jules to stay away from stunts? His friend Matt who fell on his neck decided after that that he would choose a different more secure life. I wonder if the stunt going the way it did would have the same effect on Jules. My heart just wants him and Trudy and mercy to move away together and have a secure and happy life.
Having Trudy and Jules talk about running away opens up possibilities. Did you mean for us to be optimistic for them?
Will you write more novels about small town Canada, particularly about “unpopular” people in them?
Jules/the car leap was loosely based on a real event. Was anyone else loosely based on someone that you know/knew?
Why did Tammy and Fenton pull a Thelma and Louise at the end?
The grandma and 2 daughters got pregnant at an early age. If you were to write a sequel, would this have a influence on Mercy and she too would become pregnant in her teens?
The review of the book says it’s funny. Do you agree with that? While I found it entertaining, endearing and beautiful, I was lost on what parts were funny.
Why did you end the book as you did? It felt so weird, such a let-down and I had so many questions afterwards.
Why was Jules kept in Ottawa for 3 days at the end and by who?
