A complete rip-off of Kind Hearts and Coronets, down to the ending, but without the style and humour. Can’t believe someone thought it worth a discussion group book.

Not really justified, but understandable. It a common discussion we see often in crime – abused become the abusers. I don’t necessarily agree. If we can recognize right from wrong we have the ability to re/act in certain ways. Human emotions are complex.
